When I started sextoyshopping in 1985, I recognised that there was a gap in the market for a company to supply
top quality sex toys and adult toy products without making the customer feel dirty or ashamed.
Most mail order sex toys suppliers at that time were openly promoting themselves as 'seedy', 'behind closed doors'
type operations. Most of them were also charging ridiculously high prices for very shoddy sex toys.
In 1985, the Internet was almost non-existent, it was in its infancy, so the choice was restricted

My belief was that there would be some respectable honest companies, somewhere, but as I carefully researched the
market, it became increasingly apparent that if any actually existed, they were very hard to find!

Sextoyshopping First Advert
The first advertisement was in a photographic magazine called Camera Weekly, the cost?
£2.47. I advertised a lingerie catalogue produced by one of our suppliers. The dozen or so requests for
the catalogue resulted in a couple of orders, our very first order was from a Doctor in the West Country, who continued
to buy from us for many many years.
